The initial investment phase involved purchasing two turbine Helicopters (Eurocopter B2 and B3) and obtaining the air transport licence (JAR-OPS). The first survey systems Helica purchased were a LiDAR System ALTM 3033 produced by Optech (Toronto, Canada) and two Rollei metric digital cameras. Helica has since purchased two additional sensors: an Optech LiDAR ALTM 3100 EA and a Gemini ALTM. The continuing growth in the quantity of data collected from the various sensors has led to an expansion of the data processing facilities at the head office.
