The digital terrain models (DTM) can be generated to a high level of detail and resolution, increasing the cost effectiveness of the technology compared to traditional photogrammetry methods. Helica operates the LiDAR Systems from both Helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. The primary objective is to give the client a precise three-dimensional digital representation of the surveyed area. In accordance with the customer’s requirements, it is then possible to qualitatively analyse the surveyed area using optical, hyper spectral or thermal techniques. Helica can provide the customer with the raw data collected with the various technologies or process it to agreed specifications into a rendered 3D model of the area containing all of the required data. Remotely sensed data is an essential part of the management and control of the terrain and of the transportation and telecommunications infrastructures. It is used to protect the environment and assist in the initial planning and design.
